Several people asked me about the plans for the patio table and table at Show-and-Tell this morning.  Two of my design criteria were light weight and compact, since I'll be carrying them in my travel trailer.

    Chairs
I am not sure I can link to a PDF file and get it to work here.   If you do a Google Search on
patio chair and loveseat intermediate plan thompson waterseal , you will find it.  When I did the search, it came out as the first (non-sponsored) hit.  I used cedar and had to plane the rough-sawn surface off the recycled wood that I used.  So the slats are slightly less than 3/4" thick.   Screws were exterior screws, not stainless steel, as these chairs do not sit outside all the time and will be brought under cover in bad weather.

    Footrest
As far as the small side table / footrest, I adapted a plan to fit my desired dimensions.   I used the mechanism/geometry for the legs as described in
    http://www.greydragon.org/furniture...table.html

I made the legs shorter and put the pivot point in the center and because of the design, I used a slatted top instead of two pieces of solid for the top.  I also had a "roto-hinge" that I used as the leg center pivot points.  Because the top and legs were different dimensions, I waited until the top was done before adding the bottom leg stretcher so it didn't interfere with the top.
